All of the Structural renovations have now been completed. The last of this stage was to repair a whole in the wall where the previous owners had cut a hole through the wall without doing it properly, they neglected to install a lental beam above the void thus nt supporting the wall above the doorway, this intern allowed the bricks above to collapse over time!! #3 Renovations Continue

Well the boys have been at it for a few days now, they are starting to settle into a routine, I have been intervening regularly to ensure that what designs I wanted were being implemented as the build progresses. I have decided to include in the walls behind the plaster a section of plywood that will allow framed pictures to be hung on the wall using screws rather than using a wire hanging system or one of the many other methods.  This allows the prints to hang vertically, not leaning slightly forward, and that there are no other distractions around...

#2 Renovations Have Started

Renovations of my Unit next door to my office & print lab is now underway.  It has been a very long wait, some two years so I believe that I have now settled on exactly how I want it to work and integrate with my office & lab space next door via a generous set of bi-fold doors. This unit will be the new permanent home of JDP Fine Art Gallery displaying my works from the last 15+ years of travelling around the world. #1 The Demolition Begins

Today is Demolition Day, I have owned this unit for about two years now, it has been sitting here vacant wait for the right time to start converting into my ever waiting Gallery to house my own personal photography work that I have captured from all over the world. My intention is to gut the premises before I leave to go on a five week trip through the centre of Australia, this way it will pressure me to get it done on my return in about August.
