Finke Desert Race II
Finke Desert Race is an off-road, multi-terrain two-day race across 460 km of dirt tracks and roads for motorbikes, cars, and buggies. Starting in Alice Springs and travelling through the desert country to the small and remote community of Aputula (called Finke until the 1980s) in Australia's Northern Territory.
It really is a unique event in that it enables people of all walks of life to become involved. Rarely would you find an event that has over 600 competitors racing over a course that is open to all comers, it really is the most fun you can have with a helmet on!
