Cape Moreton Lighthouse
Overlooking the vast blue eternity of water on the tip of Moreton Island the solitary striped lighthouse stands ever watchful of the oceans changing moods. With Australia at its back it towers above the rocky sandstone cliff to warn the passing ships of the coastlines ragged dangers, ever present to anyone in search of bearings.
Relatively calm today the waves continuously roll in to bow at the sentinels feet, seagulls call out greetings as they sail past on the sweeping air currents and the sun slowly rises for the day shift. A beacon of strength in its proud red stripes the lonely lighthouse can rest again in the faith of duty done, warmed by the strengthening suns rays it winks it's circling yellow eye in farewell to the dangers of the night.
