Gooseneck Canyon
Gooseneck State Park in Utah America claim to fame is a wonderful view of an incredible series of gooseneck turns in the San Juan River 1,000 feet below the canyon cliff tops. Carved over time by the twisting river it makes a spectacular sight in the mesa climate.
At the park, the waters flow through 5 miles of canyon whilst progressing westwards only one mile. Beyond the visible meanders, the river continues to twist and turn as the canyon deepens, before joining Lake Powell.
