Natures Fence
On the edge of the forest we stand in the wavy grass, the earthy musty scent of the fallen leaves tickles our nose, autumn lies on the ground all around. Golden yellow leaves cling to the ghost white trunks, tall and straight with willowy stick thin branches that barely leave their sides.
Blocking our way forward is a barrier of felled trunks lying fence like between the trunks of trees still standing. A natural wall that lies marking the edge of the forest before us, is it keeping us out or keeping something else in? An obstacle between us and exploring further, shall we climb over and venture further into the woods or stay out here in the sunshine filled meadow?
