Venice Sunset II
Perhaps the worlds most beautiful city, certainly exotic and magical in the building light of day. The capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region it is built on more than one hundred small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals which include the Grand Canal thoroughfare which is lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces.
There is movement on the watery streets as the local fisherman have left for the work they love whilst the tourists still sleep in their cosy hotels. A rare quiet time in the fabled city to just watch the world come to life around us, tranquil in its morning glory, ours to enjoy in the cool light of day.
