A native staple of the Australia bush the drought hardy gums twist their painted branches skyward tangling themselves together in a wavy and oft spindly canopy. Their grey green dangling leaves taint the air with a eucalyptus scent attracting the fauna to their lofty branch tops.
Standing in the dappled sunshine as it tumbles down to us it's cooler here in the shade of the mighty gums. Their peeling bark leaves the trunks a snowy white that is papery smooth under our fingers to touch. A peaceful place to rest awhile in their shade and listen to the native bird calling to each other from above.
