Chinese Fisherman
On his traditional bamboo raft upon the Li River near Yangshuo the master fisherman stands effortlessly balanced while he drags his fine nets through the murky waters. An age old occupation upon China's many inland rivers with the same tools used through countless generations he provides for his family no doubt the same way his father and grandfather did before him.
Note the fine detail that can be seen in the woven net as the water drips from the tied knots, I was especially drawn to this characters long scraggly beard worn like a badge to his seniority on the water. No doubt he could tell a few fishing tales around the cooking fires at night, how many baskets of fish has he filled in his life?
