Invite the timeless beauty of the American Southwest into your space with Sunset on the Mittens, a stunning panoramic artwork by acclaimed Australian photographer Jaime Dormer. This mesmerising photograph captures the iconic West and East Mitten Buttes of Monument Valley bathed in soft, golden sunlight. The warm orange and red hues of the buttes contrast beautifully with the vivid blue expanse of the sky, creating a dramatic scene that evokes both wonder and serenity. The winding trail in the foreground draws your gaze across the vast landscape, inviting you to imagine the journey through this ancient, sacred land.

Jaime Dormer’s dedication to the art of photography shines through in every detail of this image. Speaking about his experience capturing this shot, Dormer shares:

"West and East Mitten Buttes (also known collectively as The Mittens) are two distinctive geological features found within the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park in Northeast Navajo County, Arizona. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards. Rising almost 1900 m into the air, The Mittens form a triangle with Merrick Butte and are formed from three different rock layers.

On this day, with the sun just high enough to gently light the Buttes from their arid landscape home, the rich orange and red hues warmed the scene against the vivid blue endless sky stretching overhead. In the foreground, a winding trail makes its way right across the vista before disappearing out of the valley again, such an epic landscape to take in and enjoy."
