Cabin on the Lake
Nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is Emerald Lake located in Yoho National Park and due to its high altitude, the lake is frozen from November until June but thaws to a beautiful emerald green where it gets it name from the vivid colour of the water, caused by powdered limestone. Surrounded by spectacular mountain peaks the Emerald Lake Lodge sits at its edge bathed in cosy warm light.
The fresh pine scented air cool and brisk and pretty filtered light reflecting off the mirrored lake. Birds flitting, fish swimming quietly by and clouds lazily floating overhead this could be the most calming and relaxing place on earth.
