Beauchamp Falls (Portrait)

Beauchamp Falls is a stunning waterfall which is in the Otways Forest Park just outside the town of Beech Forest. There’s a free campground at the start of the walk and hours (moderate to difficult) return walk will take you to and from the stunning 20-metre-high falls. Located near the town of Beech Forest Beauchamp Falls is one of several waterfalls and nature-based assets in the Great Otway National Park and Otways Forest Park. 

The walk is about an hour from both Colac and Apollo Bay. To get to the falls, take the walking path from the picnic area, located off the Aire Valley Road. The 3 km (strenuous) one-hour return walk leaves from the Beauchamp Falls Campground picnic area and takes you to the spectacular 20m waterfall.

On the descent to the falls, walkers will enjoy scenic views of mountain ash forests and thick ferns on this must-see walking track. The ascending track leads to a viewing platform which showcases the 20-metre-high waterfall crashing over a ledge into a large pool, (there is no access to the falls). The path back is steep and has steps that can be slippery when wet, the hill back up also requires a reasonable level of fitness. Beauchamp Falls Campground Tucked away in a lush rainforest setting, this family-friendly campground is flat and spacious, with dedicated areas for tents, caravans, campervans and camper trailers.
