Stonehenge (Exhibition)
The best known prehistoric monument in Europe and one of the Wonders of the World, Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire, England and archaeologist believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. It consists of a ring of standing stones each measuring up to 4 m high, 2 m wide and weighing around 25 tons.
Owned by The Crown, this British cultural icon is visited by over a million people each year and therefore any image without the crowds is indeed a rare specimen. I wanted to capture the ageless quality of this mammoth monument that has stood the test of time and captivated the imagination and curiosity of so many. To keep it classically simple and uncomplicated in black and white, an unquestionable member of my World Icon series.
