Tree on the Edge
By the waters edge we sit to view the raw natural beauty of the New Zealand wilderness. A cool breeze drifts to us across the waters surface, come down from the snow capped mountain peaks to ruffle the yellow grasses at our feet. Skimming over the surface of the lake with its shimmering glassy waters and nipping at our nose and ears in the autumn season of change.
A small yellow tree stands alone, rooted in the lake the laps gently at the shore. A bright beacon of life against the tranquil steely blue, natures lighthouse, a guide post marking our way. It watches over the lake as we do, soft in the muted light filtering down through the clouds, keeping us company as we gaze out on such a splendid view.
