Three of a Kind
In the silent baron landscape of outback Australia the sun beats down relentlessly on the wide brown country. Washing out the blue sky with its harsh glare and turning the vegetation brown there is little shelter from its oppressive presence.
Three squat grass trees sit together in company on the plain, comical little plants in shape but hardy in resilience and tenacity eeking out an existence in nutrient poor soil. An outback icon of spiky green hair and black stubby stumps, they spear their impressive spike like flower up to the dry skies in a plea for rain.
