Snow Laden Pines
In the wintry white world around us the air is bitterly cold and the sun nowhere to be seen, snow has buried the landscape in a heavy coat of cold wet mushiness. The tree branches weighed down with the heavy coat dip downwards to the earth with weariness. The ground is hidden completely from view deep below the frozen blanket of shimmering ice crystals piled as high as our knees.
Walking is slow and laborious but such a breath taking site to be out in such a landscape. There is a gentle quietness and beautiful serenity to the winter forest, a pure and magical quality to see the world so wonderfully white.
