Road to Monument
The road stretches out straight ahead, your destination focused and your path clear. The sandstone buttes that define the Monument Valley are straight ahead and as you edge closer seem only more imposing on the horizon. The sandstone, radiating the heat of the day, glows with all the magnificence of a sunset, shades of amber, gold and violet.
In the words of film critic Keith Phipps "the 5 square miles of the monument valley have defined what generations of moviegoers think of when they imagine the American West". As you journey along your path you can not help but imagine the legends of the West are travelling alongside you.
