Reflections in Lake Bled
For over a thousand years the walls of Bled Castle have stood and people have roamed the cobbled streets within. Stone turrets and steep pitch roof lines tower up into the misty skies, protecting the people from invasion no longer, but still daunting in their massive size and strength.
If these walls could talk what tales they could tell us of their home here in Slovenia, the sites they must have witnessed over the passing centuries, the visitors they've welcomed and they enemies they have withheld. Standing on the shoreline of Lake Bled we can vividly imagine the history, the ancient workmanship that has stood the test of time in this magnificent of landscapes.
