On the Edge
On the lip of the coast, with unobstructed views of the ocean to the horizon stands a lonely tree clinging to life amidst the rocky terrain. Its strong sturdy limbs reaching up into the tight cropped leaves, pruned by the windy coastal weather of its home.
Today the oceans surface is perfectly flat and tranquil glistening in the daylight, little sparks of brilliant light wink at us on the aqua and turquoise mixed waters. Not a cloud in the sky or a boat in sight, it looks as though we have the whole world to ourselves from such a vantage point.
