Hog Bay Road
The willowy trees that create an avenue over Hog Bay Road on South Australia's Kangaroo Island are an outstanding and picturesque stand of Eucalyptus Cneorifolia. Flanking both sides of the road at Charing Cross on the main road to Kingscote the trees constitute a mature woodland remnant, free from other species and with very little understorey creating a unique forest.
Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species
