Only about 2% of Sweden's labour force earned their living in agriculture today compared with more than 50% at the beginning of the 20th century. Production exceeds domestic consumption even though they do import food and about 7% of the land area of Sweden is classed as land cultivated with permanent or temporary crops.
Sadly most farmers are elderly, and few small farms have a successor waiting to replace the present farmer. However the lifestyle of hard but rewarding work can be heaven to some. It definitely wouldn't be bad to wake up to such beautiful scenes as this one every morning.
