Cypress Swamp Pines III
Two species of cypress reside within the Everglades of Georgia USA, the bald cypress and the pond cypress. These trees were harvested during the early to mid 1900s and their durable wood used to make shingles, siding, cross ties, fenceposts, and picklebarrels.
What we see today in the deep south swamps is second growth cypress which makes serene and beautiful reflections across the inky waters as we glide past.
