Craypots

High and dry the craypots wait in the sunshine on the bobbing deck for the tide to change and the fishermen's return. Safe in the harbour they rest empty, free of the icy cold waters they will soon return to and the red legged crayfish that will be lured into their bellies.

There is a salty breeze drifting in from the open water and nearby the busy harbour boardwalks are filled with the noise of fishermen and tourists enjoying the sunshine while it's here.  An old salt sits smoking his pipe and telling whales of tales to anyone who stops long enough to listen.
