Sat in the corner of this gaily painted courtyard the old barrel hibernates, no longer full of exotic wine or even fresh water it lives out its useful days as a makeshift table. Perhaps carted here from a far off country, worn by age and use, and now left empty for ever more.
Who lives in such a pretty rendered house, with it's neat window of lace curtains? Carefully maintained it's obviously cared for by its occupants, it looks welcoming in its bright warm colours, friendly and hospitable. Perhaps if we linger they will invite us in for a refreshing drink.
