Colours of the Tetons IV
Grand Teton National Park is in the northwest of the U.S state of Wyoming and encompasses the Teton mountain range with the highest peak summiting at just over 4000m above the valley known as the Jackson Hole. It’s a popular destination in summer for mountaineering, hiking, backcountry camping and fishing.
Formed when sea floor sediments and volcanic debris were buried up to 18 miles deep as two tectonic plates collided nearly 10 million years ago. The landscape we see here in all its splendid Autumn colours is breathtakingly beautiful to behold.
