Battery Point Lighthouse
The tiny Islet lies silhouetted against the painterly coloured sky of burnt orange, golden yellows and rusty red clouds above the water. Its only occupant the squat lighthouse lays silent now the sun is rising to light the rocky shoreline in its golden arms of light. Stretching to the wide blue sky above the few lonely trees huddled together at its center raise branches in morning prayer.
The salty ocean air sweeps across the bay to tingle on our checks with the morning breeze, fresh and enlivening in dawns breaking light. The warm golden reflections of the glowing clouds bounce across the waves to greet us in twinkling bobbing swirls of colour and movement. It's a new day, the world is waking.
