Arrowtown Autumn
A blaze of colour washes down the sloping hillsides surrounding the quaint village of Arrowtown on New Zealand's South Island. Autumn has turned the transient colours of the trees and shrubs ascending the slopes orange, yellow and red in a majestic display of natures beauty. Dotted amidst the warm golden colours point the triangular green pines in stark contrast with their needle like foliage poking up through the warm wash of their surrounds.
Drinking in the spectacular sight you can hear the pretty calls of some native song birds, such as the Bell bird and Tui that make their homes in this paradise. The air settles crisply fresh against the skin with winters snow waiting just around the corner. A perfect time of change and wondrous beauty in the pristine wilderness landscape.
