A View From St Isaac's
With the gilded golden spires shinning brightly across the St Petersburg skyline on the crisp clear winters day the view of this romantic city is nowhere more spectacular then from the very top of St Isaac's Cathedral. In every direction the stunning architecture arguably the most beautiful in the world is laid out before us, with the the snow covered trees, crystal like in the sunshine adding to the majesty of this exotic and regal city.
The heavy clanging bells from the steeple towers ring out the passing of time in melodious tunes that waft across the city, men in heavy winter coats and fur clad women scurry past down below us like mice on their business. So high above we can not hear the traffic but only marvel and this magnificent view and the opulent surrounds that is the Russian royal city.
