East Arlington Autumn
More then 400 000 people including two presidents have been buried in Arlington National United States military Cemetery Virginia just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. Established in 1864 it covers 624 acres and holds the dead of the US conflicts beginning with the Civil War right up until today and also re-interred dead from earlier wars.
Visiting the site is a reverent and moving experience, like the crunching leaves of autumn the fallen lie at rest, never forgotten for their heroic sacrifice in the service of their nation.
