Drought
Australia's harsh and unforgiving landscape in the grip of a phenomenon known as the Millennium drought is said by some to be the worst drought recorded since European settlement. Covering much of the south-east landscape and reaching up into Queensland, country and city wide the impacts are most heavily felt by the people of the land.
"I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains." Dorothea Mackeller
