Branches of Ice
In the hushed snow covered park of inner city St Petersburg, tucked away from the busy streets and restless foot traffic we are sheltered and alone in a winter wonderland of frosted white reaching branches and snow laden pathways. The cold frigid air keeping walkers and sitters away can't stop us exploring this magical place, a winter gem to ourselves.
Like a million diamond crystals the limb of every winter bare tree stretches upward covered in a glistening and dazzling coat of shimmering beauty. The vivid blue sky above filtering the winter sunshine warming our faces in its glow. The park on such a day is like a frozen forest of fun, just for us.
