Lady Bath Falls
Traditionally ladies in the late 19th and early 20th century would break their journey to refresh themselves here on the long train ride from Melbourne up to Mount Buffalo. The falls just a short walk from the road lay partly sheltered in what is essentially the beginning of the dramatic and iconic Mount Buffalo Gorge in the Mount Buffalo National Park in Victoria's high country.
Pure cool mountain water gushes down from the plateau above, cascading over the moss covered boulders, the perfect place to splash your face with the crystal clear liquid and reinvigorate yourself for the onward journey. A very picturesque spot, I was enamored with the detail in the rocks and ferns to be captured along side the movement of the flowing stream.
