Bowen Falls
At this very spot, the Bowen River in northern Fiordland, New Zealand plunges from the top of a 162-m cliff into the Milford Sound. The river originates near Mount Grave and is joined by many small streams on its way south through the valley.
After almost 9 senic kilometres the river plunges from the hanging valley over the rocky drop with is Lady Bowen Falls to splash down into arguably one of the most visually pleasing landscapes on the beautiful Southern Island, maybe even the planet.
