The family owned and operated working sheep and cattle station, situated on the western side of the Wilpena Pound formation in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia has been owned by the Nutt family for over forty years. A remote part of Australia steeped in Aussie Battler heritage and pride.

The land was first taken up and stocked by William Marchant in 1859 and soon a small township sprung up some distance from the homestead because of the stock and trade route that passed through the area. Naturally wherever the teamsters stopped for the night the goverment provided wells and an eating house would be built to cash in on the passing travellers. Today you will still find the remains of what was once the Edeowie Hotel.
