The giant redwood trunks rise from the musty scented earth and reach seemingly unendingly up into the sky overhead. Their rough textured bark, veined and fractured coats their solid bodies and the whispery fern leaves branch out in short feathery dresses at its sides. Red and green amongst the white snow the landscape is Christmasy in look and smell with its piney scent on the fresh chilly air.
Wandering in and through the woodland we feel tiny and insignificant besides natures beasts, we're in a land of giants and the atmosphere is magical as we explore. An ancient place that has changed little with the passing decades, the perfect spot to take in mother natures awe inspiring strength and beauty, to breathe in deep and let the earth settle her peace upon us.
