A part of Australian film history at iconic Craig’s Hut sits high atop Mt Stirling, around 51 kilometres from Mansfield in the stunning Victoria high country. The original hut was constructed as the set for the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River that was inspired by Banjo Patterson's famous poem of the same name. Sadly bushfires ravaged the building in 2006 but it was rebuilt and reopened to the public two years later.
Accessible via 4WD or on foot during the summer months it is a breathtaking and uniquely Australian place to visit, a true Aussie icon.
